Over 15 years ago, while in nursing school, I began taking care of pregnant women and their families. After receiving my nursing license, I worked as a postpartum nurse in the hospital setting and in private OB/family practice clinics.
In 2006 I started working as a private breastfeeding educator and postpartum doula.
I believe the early connections between mother/baby must be treated as sacred. Early postpartum care can play a significant role in the well-being of the mother/baby. I am passionate about empowering women to make confident choices about their needs and the needs of their babies. I offer support in ways that respect the family. Recognizing that the definition of family is different for everyone, we can work together to make the postpartum memory a positive one.
